A Collection of Colorful Designs

About the Project
Following initiatives that greatly reduced the use of printed stationery, Sugarloaf wanted to focus redesign efforts on just one indispensable corporate identity staple. The company wanted eye-catching new business cards.
I created a number of options that were decidedly more lively than the cards they would replace. Each variant featured a colorful painted background. The concept was to better reflect Sugarloaf’s art-related mission. The type was set in Orgon, by Dieter Hofrichter. Orgon’s soft terminals and unmodulated strokes helped create a modern, but friendly appearance.
As the cards would be distributed at art festivals, Sugarloaf decided to provide employees with a small measure of artistic expression. Each employee was permitted to choose their own custom business cards from a small selection of designs.
